Use the 'Format' commands in the edit toolbar.

Headings

  • Headings add outline structure to a webpage. 
  • Headings appear in a page's Table of Contents for easy page navigation.
  • Google Sites provides access to 3 levels (H2 - H4).
  • Links can take visitors directly to headings.
Headings also simplify page formatting. 
  • use styles configured in the site's Theme settings.
  • can override the style of a heading when editing page.
Tip: you can insert headings into tables...

Special Text

The Format menu also includes special text options:
  • strikethrough
  • superscripts superscript
  • subscripts subscript
  • code (constant width)
blockquote code - handy for depicting code examples
